• Led a zero-downtime migration from Grafana Tempo Enterprise to open-source Grafana Tempo, eliminating $$$ in annual licensing costs.
• Served as an SME for frontend tracing, fixing trace-context propagation across hundreds of Jira and Confluence experiences.
• Contributed to an LLM-assisted incident triage workflow over tracing data to reduce time to mitigate (TTM) by identifying likely root causes and routing issues to the appropriate teams.

Built observability tooling and platform capabilities for our internal platform using AWS, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, Grafana, Splunk, Golang, and React.

• Shipped trace ID display in Jira's error flow, rendered millions of times weekly and later adopted by Confluence, contributing to $12.5M+ in support cost savings.
• Built a tracing metadata pipeline processing 2.5B spans per hour and surfacing insights in automated engineering reviews.
• Designed tenant-targeted sampling for our latency-sensitive Automation Platform.
• Organised and delivered a distributed tracing event for 250+ engineers.

Built security tooling, automated threat hunting and vulnerability remediation, and created Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges.
